What We Offer
Senior engineers, embedded in your team
Staff augmentation adds experienced engineers directly to your team. They work in your repositories, attend your stand-ups and follow your process — the difference is where they sit and how quickly you can add them.
This is the model to choose when you already know what to build and how you want to work, and the constraint is capacity rather than direction.
What you get
- Role definition
- We start from the gap you actually have — a skill set, a seniority level, a workstream that is short-handed — rather than from a generic CV pile.
- Matched senior engineers
- Candidates are sourced from our senior network against your specific stack and domain. You interview them; you decide.
- Integration into your process
- Your tools, your board, your code review standards, your definition of done. We adapt to how your team already works instead of importing a parallel process.
- Flexible scaling
- Scale the team up when a push needs it and back down when it does not, without the cost and delay of hiring and unwinding permanent roles.
- Ongoing performance support
- We stay accountable for the engineers we place. If a match is not working, replacing it is our problem to solve, not yours to manage.
How we work
-
Free initial consultation
We map the gap: skills, seniority, how many people, and when you need them working.
-
Candidate selection
We shortlist senior engineers from our network who match the stack and the domain, and send you people worth your interview time.
-
Your interview
You assess them the way you assess any hire. Nobody joins your team without your approval.
-
Onboarding
Access, context and first tickets in the first days — with the time-zone overlap that makes onboarding conversational rather than asynchronous.
-
Working as one team
From there they are simply part of your team, in your process, contributing at the level you hired for.
Senior engineers, in your time zone
There is no junior bench here, so there is nobody to rotate onto your work to keep a seat warm. And because the team works from Argentina, you get a full working-day overlap with North America — questions get answered the same day, not the next one.
Common questions
How quickly can engineers start?
Weeks rather than months, in most cases. The bottleneck is usually your interview and access provisioning rather than sourcing — we can bring candidates forward as soon as we understand the role.
Who actually works on my project?
Senior engineers, every time. WizardsLabs has no junior bench to keep busy, so there is no one to rotate onto your work to fill a seat. Each engagement is staffed with hand-picked engineers matched to what you are building.
How does the time-zone overlap work?
The team works from Argentina, which sits within one to three hours of US Eastern for most of the year and keeps a full working-day overlap with every North American time zone. Stand-ups, pairing and same-day answers all happen in normal business hours for both sides — not at the edges of the day.
Do augmented engineers work only on my project?
Yes. Engineers placed with your team are dedicated to it for the duration of the engagement. Splitting attention across clients is how quality degrades, so we do not do it.
What if an engineer is not the right fit?
Tell us early and we replace them. You approved the hire, but the placement is our responsibility — carrying a bad match is not something you should have to manage around.
Can we hire them permanently later?
That conversation is open. If an engagement turns into a long-term fit on both sides, we would rather discuss terms than stand in the way of it.
