Our Disciplines
Custom software development
We build custom software: web applications, mobile apps and the APIs and services behind them. The work is done by senior engineers in Buenos Aires who keep a full working-day overlap with North America.
Teams are assembled around the requirement rather than the other way round. If your project calls for a stack we would not have picked ourselves, we staff for the stack you have.
What you get
- Web applications
- Product interfaces and internal tools built to be maintained — sensible architecture, real test coverage, and a codebase your team can read.
- Mobile applications
- Native and cross-platform apps taken from design through store release, including the release process itself.
- APIs and backend services
- The services your product runs on: data models, integrations, authentication, and the operational concerns that surface at scale.
- Legacy modernisation
- Incremental replacement of systems that still earn their keep but resist change, without a rewrite-everything gamble.
- Technical due diligence
- An honest read on an existing codebase — what it costs to maintain, what will break next, and what is worth keeping.
Technologies we work in
What comes up most often — not a boundary. Teams are assembled per engagement, so we staff for the stack your project actually uses.

How we work
-
Understand the problem
Before estimating, we make sure we agree on what is being solved and for whom.
-
Shape the architecture
Decisions that are expensive to reverse — data model, service boundaries, hosting — get made deliberately and written down.
-
Build in increments
Working software in reviewable slices, so direction can change while changing it is still cheap.
-
Test continuously
Automated coverage grows with the codebase rather than being retrofitted under deadline pressure.
-
Ship and hand over
Deployment pipelines, documentation and a clean handover to whoever maintains it next — including your own team.
Senior engineers, in your time zone
There is no junior bench here, so there is nobody to rotate onto your work to keep a seat warm. And because the team works from Argentina, you get a full working-day overlap with North America — questions get answered the same day, not the next one.
Work we can show you
4foodies
A social food-discovery iOS app — design, build and release. It is the one client project we can publish, so it is the one we point to rather than a wall of logos we cannot show you.
Visit 4foodies.appCommon questions
Do you work with our existing codebase?
Yes. A good share of the work we take on is continuing or repairing something already built. We start by reading it and telling you honestly what shape it is in.
What if our stack is not on your list?
Tell us what it is. The stack list above reflects what comes up most often, not a boundary — engineers are hand-picked per engagement, so we source for the technology your project actually uses.
Who actually works on my project?
Senior engineers, every time. WizardsLabs has no junior bench to keep busy, so there is no one to rotate onto your work to fill a seat. Each engagement is staffed with hand-picked engineers matched to what you are building.
How does the time-zone overlap work?
The team works from Argentina, which sits within one to three hours of US Eastern for most of the year and keeps a full working-day overlap with every North American time zone. Stand-ups, pairing and same-day answers all happen in normal business hours for both sides — not at the edges of the day.
How do you estimate a project?
From a scoping conversation, not from a form. We would rather spend an hour understanding the requirement and give you a number we can stand behind than produce a fast estimate that turns out to be fiction.
